CENTRE OF MARINE SCIENCE

Centre of Marine Science, UPM, also known as COMAS, is one of the few marine research centres in Malaysia with a strategic location by the sea. Located in Teluk Kemang, Port Dickson, COMAS provides strategic platform for students and researchers from the main campus in Serdang, with clean seawater and sufficient hatchery facilities. Other than providing space for marine aquaculture activities, COMAS has extended its interest into multidisciplinary R & D, where expertise from different disciplines collaborate in creating innovative ideas in research.

COMAS has worked closely with national and international agencies for the development of marine research and the advancement of Malaysian young researchers to the international stage. Through knowledge transfer and international collaborations, we aim to contribute to the growth of our nation as education hub in the region, and to promote Malaysia towards the status of developed nation.
